Human Resources and Corporate Services Sept. 2023 – Dec. 2023 / Apr. 2024 File #23-47 The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is the statutory body responsible for regulating Ontario’s capital markets in accordance with the mandate established in the provincial Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act. The mandate of the OSC is to provide protection to investors from unfair, improper or fraudulent practices, to foster fair, efficient and competitive capital markets and confidence in the capital markets, to foster capital formation, and to contribute to the stability of the financial system and the reduction of systemic risk. This mandate is performed through policy, operational, adjudication and enforcement work. The OSC also contributes to national and global securities regulation development. The mandate of the Human Resources and Corporate Services Branch is to establish and sustain a foundation for the responsible stewardship of OSC resources supporting organizational effectiveness and productivity through: enterprise-wide business planning; monitoring, and reporting on, corporate performance; strategic workforce management; enterprise emergency response and business continuity planning (ERBCP); records and information management; corporate project coordination; knowledge management; workplace design and facilities management; staff health, safety and security; and the overall design and implementation of a positive employee experience. The Branch is comprised of the following business units: Human Resources and Organizational Development; Business Planning & Reporting; Administration; Knowledge Services; Records & Information Management; and Inclusion & Diversity. The Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) function plays a key role in realizing the OSC’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment. The Inclusion and Diversity manager oversees the ongoing development and implementation of corporate inclusion and diversity strategies and programs.
